"But with loud shouts they insistently demanded that he be crucified, and their shouts prevailed. So Pilate decided to grant their demand. He released the man who had been thrown into prison for insurrection and murder, the one they asked for, and surrendered Jesus to their will."
~ Luke 23:23-25
Have you ever been crucified when you didn't deserve to be?
In this season we remember the crucifixion, death and resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He didn't deserve to die but He offered Himself.
When they brought Him to be sentenced, they would not take no for an answer even when they knew pretty well that He was innocent. When the sentence was passed for Him to be crucified, they rejoiced at their victory. All that they knew is that they had killed a man. What they didn't recognize then is that they had given life to mankind. They thought His word was now forgotten. What followed implanted the words in people's minds never ever to be forgotten again. The effort to destroy a king established on earth and in heaven a kingdom that is eternal. What they meant for the worst happened to be the best that the earth has ever witnessed.
Whatever the enemy may have planned or is planning for your worst, could be the best that there was and ever will be in your life. As long as you put your life in His hands, fear no evil for all happens for the good.
When at some point you look back and see all that you've been through, it is my desire that you will say with satisfaction and deep gratitude; "IT WAS ALL FOR THE GOOD."
