From Zero to Hero - mamoudou gassama - Spiderman of 18th Street

One moment you are walking the streets in a foreign country, undocumented and jobless. A couple of hours down the line and you are a hero of the country, a citizen and with a job. That's the story of Mamoudou Gassama, the young man from Mali living in France.

A few lessons;

1. "A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men." - Proverbs 18:16

Although the above verse may refer to a present given, to me it also means a talent used that surely can take you places. Not everybody can scale a wall like he did. It is his gift and he used it well opening very great doors.

2. "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." - Galatians 6:9

The man's actions were not aimed at what fame it could bring him. He was inspired to do good in saving a life. Such motivation is not a one time instinct. It is an inbuilt character of doing good. If you keep doing good, you never know when your great day will come. It may not be to such magnitude but it sure comes at some point.

3. Not all news is bad news.

Go out looking and also creating more good news. I wish you the best.
