Day 248 - Catch someone doing something good.

Just finished reading "The One Minute Manager" by Ken Blanchard and Spencer Johnson.

In this short book, the authors share 3 important secrets that will help any manager to concurrently get better results, have more time, and empower the people around to be more effective and fulfilled.

In brief, the three secrets are for you as the one minute manager to,
1. Set specific goals for each of your employees(or subordinate), which you can review in one minute or less.
2.Use one minute praise to give your employees positive feedback.
3.Give a one minute reprimand without fail where need be. One minute is more than enough to express your dissatisfaction.

In all this, my take-home point is that in everything, you should always be looking for the best of those that you have the opportunity to influence.
Make it your ambition to CATCH SOMEONE DOING SOMETHING GOOD.

Do you do that or you are like many who only look out for that which has not been done well?
